Motorcycle Rim Visualizer: See a New Wheel Color on Your Own Bike

Upload a side photo of your own motorcycle, name a rim color, and see it on your wheels before you buy paint or powder coating. It shows a color only, not whether a wheel fits.

Before and after examples

Each pair is one motorcycle photo and the same photo after one Modification Goals request, sent to the image model that Custom Vision uses but with more processing steps than the live tool default, so your own render may be rougher. Each before and after image is a single run. The full request text sits under each pair.

BeforeAI-drawn sample: a plain dark gray naked motorcycle with silver cast alloy wheels parked on pavement, seen from the side
AfterAI-drawn sample: the same motorcycle with gold wheels
Dark gray generic naked-bike stand-in. Modification Goals: "Change ONLY the color of both wheels: repaint the wheel rims gold. Keep everything else on the motorcycle, the background and the camera angle exactly the same.". Followed: both wheels are now gold, and the tires, frame, engine and pavement look the same. Not followed as asked: nothing in the request was missed. Extra changes: none we could see.
BeforeAI-drawn sample: a plain red sport bike with silver cast alloy wheels parked on pavement, seen from the side
AfterAI-drawn sample: the same sport bike with gloss black wheels
Red generic sport-bike stand-in. Modification Goals: "Change ONLY the color of both wheels: repaint the wheel rims gloss black. Keep everything else on the motorcycle, the background and the camera angle exactly the same.". Followed: both wheels are now gloss black, and the tires, bodywork and pavement look the same. Not followed as asked: nothing in the request was missed. Extra changes: none we could see.
BeforeAI-drawn sample: a plain blue sport bike with silver cast alloy wheels parked on pavement, seen from the side
AfterAI-drawn sample: the same sport bike with bronze wheels
Blue generic sport-bike stand-in. Modification Goals: "Change ONLY the color of both wheels: repaint the wheel rims bronze. Keep everything else on the motorcycle, the background and the camera angle exactly the same.". Followed: both wheels are now bronze, and the tires, bodywork and pavement look the same. Not followed as asked: nothing in the request was missed, although the bronze reads close to the gold in the first example. Extra changes: none we could see.

All before and after images are AI-drawn samples from our own image model, not photos of real customer bikes. The bikes are plain generic bikes with no names, numbers or logos. Under each pair we list which parts of the request worked, which did not, and any change we never asked for.

See it on your own bike first

Most examples online are shown on someone else's bike, and a color or part that looks great on one can look wrong on yours. WheelAI redraws your own photo with the change you describe, so you can compare a few options on the bike you ride before you spend anything.

The example bikes below are AI-drawn generic stand-ins, not photos of real customer bikes or a specific make.

Cast, spoked and the finishes people pick

Motorcycle wheels come in two broad types. Cast or alloy wheels are one piece and are usually tubeless. Wire-spoked wheels have a separate rim and hub joined by tensioned spokes and usually use tubes. Spoked wheels are common on retro and off-road bikes, and cast wheels on road bikes.

Common rim finishes are black (gloss or matte), chrome, and contrast or double-cut black with machined highlights. Shops also list anodized colors such as gold, blue and red. Chrome needs polishing, while black hides grime better. This page only shows the color on your own photo.

How to preview motorcycle rims

There is no separate wheel mode. The Modifications tool edits any vehicle photo, and its Custom Vision mode takes your own wording.

  1. 1

    Take the photo

Stand square to the side of the bike in daylight so both wheels are fully visible.

  2. 2

    Open the Modifications tool

Upload your photo and switch to Custom Vision.

  3. 3

    Name the rim color

In the Modification Goals box, name both wheels and the color and finish, then list what must stay the same: the rest of the bike, the background and the camera angle.

  4. 4

    Compare colors

Try gold next to black on the same photo. For a car, use the rim visualizer page instead.

Rim colors we compared

Gold on a dark gray naked bike

Both cast wheels came out gold. We saw no other change.

Gloss black on a red sport bike

Both wheels came out gloss black. We saw no other change.

Bronze on a blue sport bike

Both wheels came out bronze. On this render bronze reads close to the gold example, so compare real samples.

Before you refinish or buy wheels

  • A visualizer shows style, not fit. Axle, brake, tire size and offset are separate checks, and we make no fit claim.
  • Ask a wheel shop for a real finish sample and look at it outdoors.
  • Ask what a refinish involves for your wheel type. Cast and spoked wheels are handled differently.
  • Remember chrome needs more polishing than black.

Three Modification Goals to paste

We used these requests for the examples. Copy one into Modification Goals, swap the colors and parts for your own, and delete anything that does not apply.

  • Change ONLY the color of both wheels: repaint the wheel rims gold. Keep everything else on the motorcycle, the background and the camera angle exactly the same.
  • Change ONLY the color of both wheels: repaint the wheel rims gloss black. Keep everything else on the motorcycle, the background and the camera angle exactly the same.
  • Change ONLY the color of both wheels: repaint the wheel rims bronze. Keep everything else on the motorcycle, the background and the camera angle exactly the same.

What the AI does well and where it slips

A wheel color change on a clean side photo usually comes out well, and in all three examples the rest of the bike stayed put. It does not show spoke style changes reliably, and it never checks that a wheel fits. If a render misses, rerun it with shorter, plainer wording.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see black or gold rims on my motorcycle?

Yes. Upload a side photo of your bike with both wheels visible, name the rim color and finish, and list what must stay the same. Most new accounts get 5 free credits that last 30 days, and a standard render uses 1 credit. Free renders carry a WheelAI watermark.

Cast or spoked wheels: what is the difference?

Cast or alloy wheels are one piece and are usually tubeless. Wire-spoked wheels have a separate rim and hub joined by tensioned spokes and usually use tubes. Which suits you depends on the bike and how you ride it, and this page does not give fit or buying advice.

Will it show a different wheel style or tire size?

This page is about rim color. It does not reliably change spoke style or tire size, and it never checks that a wheel fits your bike. Ask a wheel shop about fit.

Can I switch wire wheels to alloy?

That is a question for your bike's maker or a wheel shop. The tool only shows a picture, and it does not check that wheels are compatible.

Does the render match a real finish?

No, not exactly. The AI draws its own idea of gold, gloss black and bronze, and in our third example bronze came out close to gold. Compare real finish samples before you order.

Is there a rim visualizer for cars?

Yes. The rim visualizer page is for car wheels, and this page is for motorcycles.

Ready to try rim colors on your bike?

Compare a few rim colors on one photo, then take your favorite to a wheel shop for a real sample.
