Before and after examples
Each pair shows a vehicle photo and the same photo after Modification Goals were typed into the Custom Vision mode. The first pair took two requests in a row. We ran each request twice and kept the better render. The exact text of every request is printed under each pair.

Both the before and the after images are AI-drawn samples made with our own image model, not photos of real Jeeps or customer vehicles; the vehicles are Jeep-style stand-ins drawn by the AI without badges. Faint marks on some wheel center caps and tire sidewalls are unreadable AI artifacts, not brand names. Each caption says what followed the request, what did not and what the AI changed on its own.
Your own Jeep, not a stock picture
Many wheel visualizers and online builders start from a stock image of the model in a fixed color and angle. WheelAI edits the photo you upload instead, so you see new wheels, a lift look or a roof rack on your actual Wrangler, Gladiator or other Jeep, with your paint, your top and the parts you already have.
WheelAI is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jeep or Stellantis. The brand and model names are used only to say which vehicles this page is about.
How to preview mods on your Jeep
There is no separate Jeep button. You use the Modifications tool and either pick options from lists or type the change in plain words.
- 1
Take a front three-quarter photo
Shoot the whole vehicle in daylight from a front corner so the grille, one side and all visible wheels are in the frame.
- 2
Open the Modifications tool and upload it
Go to the Modifications tool and upload your photo.
- 3
Pick Off-Road Modifications or Custom Vision
The Off-Road Modifications mode has lists for Off-Road Style, Lift Height, Tire & Wheel Setup and Off-Road Accessories. For exact requests, switch to Custom Vision and type what should change, and what must stay, in the Modification Goals box.
- 4
Render, compare and adjust
Generate the image and compare it with your photo. If a part was missed, run it again with clearer words or ask for that part on its own as a second request.
Wheels and tires: what to try first
Wheel finish
Gloss or satin black is the low-key choice, bronze stands out against gray, white and green paint, and gunmetal sits in between. Try two or three on your own color.
Wheel style
Simple five-spoke, multi-spoke and beadlock-style designs all read differently from a distance. If you like the beadlock look, ask a shop whether a true beadlock or a look-only ring suits how you drive.
Tread pattern
All-terrain tires have tighter tread blocks for a cleaner road look; mud-terrain tires have big blocks, wide gaps and chunky sidewall lugs. Name the tread you want so the AI draws the right one.
Tire size
Taller tires change the stance a lot, but the AI draws a look, not a measured size. Bigger tires can also need a lift, trimming or other changes, so ask a shop what your vehicle needs.
Previewing a lift
The Lift Height list offers a Level Kit (1-2"), a Moderate Lift (3-4"), an Aggressive Lift (5-6") and an Extreme Lift (7"+). Treat these as a style hint: the render shows a taller stance, not an exact measured height.
In our tests, a lift request on its own changed the ride height very little. Asking for a visible gap between the tires and the fender flares, together with taller tires, gave a clearer result. For lift types and tire sizing, see the Lift Kit Visualizer page.
Bumpers, flares, sliders, racks and lights
Front bumper and winch
A steel bumper with a winch is a common first armor upgrade. In our test the winch was drawn in, but the bumper was not swapped (only the bull bar was reshaped), so ask for the bumper swap on its own if it is missed.
Fender flares
Flat or tube-style flares open up the wheel wells and make room for bigger tires. Our test request did not change the flares; a separate, flares-only request is the better bet.
Rock sliders
Sliders are steel tubes or plates along the bottom of the body under the doors. Say "tube rock sliders" clearly: in our test the AI drew a ribbed black step that looks more like a running board.
Roof rack and light bar
A basket or flat rack with an LED light bar on its front edge changes the profile a lot and came out well in our test.
Other accessories
The Off-Road Accessories list also offers skid plates, an air intake snorkel and an external spare tire.
A look preview, not a fitment check
The render answers one question: do I like how this looks on my Jeep? It cannot check offset, backspacing, bolt pattern, tire clearance or whether a part is made for your model year, and it does not show real brand products or prices.
Check fitment with a shop before you buy. Rules about lift height, tire coverage and auxiliary lights differ from place to place, so ask a shop or your local authority about those too.
Photo tips for a cleaner render
- Park on flat ground so the stance in the photo is the real stance.
- Turn the front wheels straight; a turned wheel is harder for the AI to redraw.
- Shoot at about headlight height, not from above.
- Keep the whole vehicle in the frame with some space around it, including the roof if you want a rack.
- Use the same photo for every idea so you compare like with like.
Four Modification Goals you can paste
These are the exact texts behind the examples above. Paste one into the Modification Goals box, swap the color and background words for what is in your photo, and drop any part you do not want. The sizes in the first one are what we typed; the AI does not draw parts to a measured size.
- Replace the silver wheels with black beadlock-style off-road wheels and fit bigger 35-inch all-terrain tires, and add a 2.5-inch suspension lift so the body sits higher; keep the white paint, black hardtop, grille, headlights, front bumper, fence, trees and gravel exactly as they are
- Lift the whole vehicle higher with a visible suspension lift so there is a big gap between the tires and the fender flares, and make the tires taller and wider; keep the black wheels, white paint, black hardtop, grille, headlights, front bumper, fence, trees and gravel exactly as they are
- Replace the silver wheels with satin bronze off-road wheels, replace the front bumper and bull bar with a black steel off-road bumper with a winch in the middle, and swap the fender flares for flat black tube-style fender flares; keep the dark gray paint, grille, headlights, tires, parking lot and hills exactly as they are
- Add a black roof rack on top of the black hardtop with an LED light bar along its front edge, and replace the side steps with black rock sliders along the bottom of the body under the doors; keep the red paint, grille, headlights, bumpers, wheels, tires, street, houses and trees exactly as they are
What the AI can and cannot do
Our image model redraws the whole photo, not just the parts you name, so side effects happen. It usually keeps the paint, body shape, background and camera angle. In our tests it also blackened the front of a hood nobody asked to change, replaced a house in the background with trees, turned plain gravel into a more regular pattern, reshaped a bull bar instead of swapping the bumper, skipped a fender flare swap, drew a running board where rock sliders were asked for, and showed only a small lift. If a render misses something, run it again and say more clearly what must change and what must stay, or ask for the missed part on its own.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a photo of my own Wrangler or Gladiator?
Yes, that is the point of this page. You upload your own photo, so the render keeps your paint color, top, trim and current parts, and only the things you ask for are drawn in. The tool does not need to know your model or year; it edits whatever vehicle is in the picture.
What kind of photo works best?
One clear daylight photo of the whole vehicle from a front corner, with both the front and one side in view and the wheels not hidden by grass, snow or other cars. Avoid strong shadows across the body and very wide-angle phone lenses that stretch the vehicle.
Are the wheels and parts in the render real products?
No. The AI draws a generic part that matches your words, such as a black multi-spoke wheel or a steel bumper with a winch. It does not pick a brand, a part number or a price. Use the render to choose a direction, then compare it with real catalog photos or take it to a shop.
Can it tell me if a wheel or tire will fit, or which offset I need?
No. A photo edit cannot check bolt pattern, offset, backspacing, tire clearance, rubbing at full steering lock or whether a part is made for your model year. Check fitment with a shop or the part maker before you buy anything.
Which wheel colors look good on a Jeep?
It depends on your paint and the look you want. Black, bronze, gunmetal and silver are all common choices on off-road builds. The quickest way to decide is to render the same wheel in two or three finishes on your own photo and compare them side by side.
Does it work on a Grand Cherokee, Compass, Cherokee or Renegade?
Yes. It works on a photo of any vehicle, so you can try new wheels and tires on any Jeep model. Lift, armor and roof rack ideas suit off-road builds best, but nothing stops you from previewing them on an SUV that mostly sees pavement.
Can I change the color of my Jeep too?
You can describe a new paint or wrap color in the Custom Vision mode, but this page is about parts. For full wraps and finishes, the Car Wrap Visualizer page has tips and example requests.
Is WheelAI affiliated with Jeep?
No. WheelAI is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Jeep or Stellantis. We use the brand and model names only to say which vehicles this page is about.
Is the Jeep visualizer free?
You need to sign in with your email or a Google account. Most new accounts get 5 free credits that last 30 days, and a standard render uses 1 credit, so you can try up to 5 builds before deciding whether to buy more. Free renders carry a WheelAI watermark; an active paid plan removes it.
Ready to plan your Jeep build?
Try two or three wheel and accessory ideas on your own photo, then take the one you like to a shop to check fitment.
