Halo Headlights: See Halo Rings on Your Own Car
Halo headlights add a glowing ring of light inside each headlight, often called angel eyes. See white halos on a modern crossover and a classic pickup, then upload a photo of yours and try the look before you buy a kit or new headlights.

Two vehicles, plain lights to halo rings
Each pair is one AI-drawn before photo and that photo after one Modification Goals request, sent through the same image model, step count and request wording that Custom Vision uses. Each after-image is a single run, and where we reran a request the caption says so. The full request text sits under each pair.

All before and after images are AI-drawn samples from our own image model, not photos of real customer vehicles. The vehicles are plain generic models with no plate text. Under each pair we list which parts of the request worked, which did not, and any change we never asked for.
What halo headlights are
A halo is a ring of LED light inside the headlight housing, around the lens or the outer edge of the lamp. It is mostly styling, but many halos also work as daytime running lights. They do not replace the low or high beams. You can buy new headlights with halos built in or add ring kits to some housings.
The vehicles below are AI-drawn generic models, not photos of real customer vehicles, and no vehicle maker, wrap maker or wheel maker is affiliated with this page.
Halo styles people pick
White halos
The most common look, and the safest choice for street use, like both of our examples.
Projector halos
A ring around each projector lens, like our gray crossover.
Round headlight halos
A ring around the edge of a round sealed-beam style light, a popular look on classic trucks.
Color and RGB halos
Rings that change color by remote or phone app. Many places limit colored lights on public roads.
How to preview halo headlights
- 1
Take a front photo at dusk
Low light shows the glow best, as it would on a real car.
- 2
Open the Modifications tool
Upload the photo and switch to Custom Vision.
- 3
Describe the ring
Say where the ring sits (lens or outer edge), how thin it is and its color.
- 4
Say what stays
List the paint, grille and fog lights, and rerun if extra lights appear.
Two Modification Goals to paste
We used these requests for the examples. Copy one into Modification Goals and change the color or part words for your own vehicle. Change white to amber or ice blue to compare colors, then check your local rules.
- Add a thin bright white LED halo ring glowing around each round projector lens in the two headlights, like a crisp glowing white circle; keep the gray paint, grille, wheels and dusk parking lot background the same
- Add a thin bright white LED halo ring glowing around the outer edge of each of the two round headlights, like a crisp glowing white circle inside each headlight; keep the red paint, chrome bumper, grille and dusk background the same
What the AI does well and where it slips
The model draws a clean glowing ring and keeps the paint and grille the same. It tends to make halos brighter than real ones and can add light strips we never asked for, like the fog light ring on our crossover. Use the render to judge the look, then pick a kit that fits your housings.
Frequently asked questions
Are halo headlights the same as angel eyes?
Yes. Halo headlights, angel eyes and halo rings all mean a ring of light inside the headlight housing.
Do halo headlights replace my low and high beams?
No. The ring is styling and often a daytime running light. The main beams still do the lighting.
Are halo headlights legal?
White halos are widely used, but rules differ by state and country. Many places limit red, blue or color-changing lights on public roads, so check your local rules before you install.
Can I add halos to my current headlights?
Some housings take ring kits, which often means opening the headlight. Others are easier to swap for new headlights with halos built in.
What makes a good halo kit?
Even LED light around the whole ring, a proper fit for your housing and sealed headlights so moisture stays out.
Can I preview halo headlights on my own car for free?
Yes. Sign in with email or Google, upload a photo of your car in the Modifications tool and paste a goal like the ones below into Modification Goals in Custom Vision. Most new accounts get 5 free credits that last 30 days, and a standard render uses 1 credit. Free renders carry a WheelAI watermark.
